Travel with infants

- useful tips for our youngest passengers

Tag din baby med på ferie med SAS

  • An infant is a child who has not yet turned 2, but is at least 7 days old. When traveling with an infant, he or she must sit in your lap. You can also book a separate seat for your baby for the same price as a child 2-11 years old. In this case, you must bring your own child safety seat. Contact SAS Customer Contact Center to book.

  • If you have an infant under 2 years of age on the outbound flight who turns 2 on the return flight then you need to book a child ticket.

  • If you are traveling with two children under the age of 2, you can have one child in your lap and one in a seat beside you. You can book the seat for the child beside you for the same price as a child 2-11 years old. The child beside you must be fastened in a child safety seat that you bring yourself onboard. Contact SAS Customer Contact Center prior to departure so we can note in your booking that you are traveling with two infants or toddlers. Read more about child safety seats here

  • If your child is under 9 months, you can book a cradle onboard if you are flying to Asia or the US.
